If you have cracked painful heels that have white powdery look to them, you possibly could be suffering with a foot fungal or bacterial condition that occurs due to our feet spending so much time in our shoes. Bacterial and fungal infections thrive in dark, humid, and warm conditions, and shoes provide the perfect breeding ground.

It is important to provide you feet with good hygiene, and this involves washing your feet very well every day and lathering your feet in a moisturizing soap all over you foot, and in between you toes. Dry you feet thoroughly.

The organic treatment that is good for bacterial and fungal infections is called oregano oil. Put about a pea size amount mixed with a dime size amount of antibiotic cream, and put cotton socks on. 100% Cotton socks only. Apply this oregano oil and cream mixture for one week at night, and in the morning for one week, if you heels are very bad you may need to continue this for 2 weeks.  If you see improvement in the cracks of your heels or fissures, stop the antibiotic cream. Instead you will mix the same amount of oregano oil, but instead of the antibiotic cream add the oregano oil to a cream lotion that contain Urea.

It is important to keep the heels from callusing, so for this you will need to buy a callus remover to remove the dead skin. I find that using it once a day when my feet are dry works the best.
