Purple Cloud Ointment is a staining ointment that is used for many purposes. The ingredients are: sesame oil 1,000 ml, Dang Gui ( Radix Angelica Chinensis) 100 grams, Zi Cao Gen ( Radix lithospermi) 100 grams, beeswax 300 grams, and lard 25 grams.

Heat sesame oil, melt in beeswax and lard. deep fry the Dang Gui until it is light brown, then remove the Dang Gui. Increase heat ( 110-140 degrees centigrade), add Zi Cao Gen. Fry until it is a fresh purple color, then take the pot off the heat. Filter the liquid (cheesecloth works well). Constantly mix while stirring until the ointment cools to room temperature, or the ingredients will start to separate and the wax will clump. The equipment is hard to clean,so I have dedicated pots, spoons, strainer, etc. The ointment stains, but it works so well it is worth it. I have used it very successfully for all kinds of rashes, extremely chapped skin, eczema. Students have reported very good results for psoriasis.

Another cause is Peeling Skin Syndrome or Skin Peeling Syndrome. A rare genetic disorder that causes continuous skin peeling. It may also cause redness of the skin (erythema) and itching (pruritus). It has been divided into two categories- Non-inflammatory Type A and Inflammatory Type B category.

Basic Measures to Prevent Peeling Skin

Avoid scratching the peeling skin as it can worsen the situation if you are suffering from diseases like eczema or psoriasis.

Instead of pulling the peeled skin, use scissors.

Moisturize your skin by using good moisturizing cream or lotion to soothe your skin.

Drink plenty of water and remain hydrated.

If you are out and about, use sunscreen at regular intervals.
